About Dog Camping

When we moved from Iowa to Oregon in 2002, we bought our first house. It was a basic ranch in the suburbs. And while we liked it, four years later we realized our love (bordering on obsession) with animals was outgrowing the suburbs. So we headed for the hills, literally!

We are now nestled on 40 acres about 12 miles west of Banks. Our acreage is surrounded by hundreds of acres of Tillamook State Forest, private and timber company land. We have three kids, McKenna (16), Fisher (14) and Mason (12) all of whom LOVE dogs, and our sweet little home in the DEEP woods.

All kinds of critters have taken their second residence here (we have a bit of a rescue obsession). We've had 3 Great Danes, who have now all passed on to doggie heaven, running with the elk and deer, or so says our daughter. :) We've also got ducks, chickens, rabbits, and 2 friendly goats, Bubbles and Romper. We've also had pigs, turkeys, and lots of other animals around our hobby-farm.

And that doesn't even mention all of the actual wildlife around the woods. So be assured, we have LOTS of animal experience, and love dogs of all shapes and sizes. Thus our reason for opening up our home to dog camping, so we can enjoy even more of our furry friends, and get the bonus of taking good care of yours!
